Thanks. Didn't read it all yet, but avoid sending when the network is busy. Use a Segwit wallet. See also this post where I talked about Segwit http://rimbit.dk/thread-827-post-6854.html#pid6854

Alternative...use Ethereum! Cheaper and much faster.
