"Dear Bitstamp

I wrote you in the weekend about my frozen account, but did not hear anything. I need access to my funds today so I wonder what is causing this freezing of my account. I'm a Danish citizen and protected by Danish and European law. I have been a customer for many years.

What is needed to unfreeze my account? Please help solving this problem quickly.

You may also call me on my phone (please note it will reject calls from anonymous callers)

I have contacted you through your ticket system, through mail and through Twitter. Still no response."

What the hell is this?
We need decentralized exchanges.
What is this thing that builds our dreams, yet slips away from us?

It is interesting that Bitstamp is doing this just as the crypto market is starting to go up again.

It is possible they have more fiat than crypto, and this is the result.

Mind you, this is pure speculation, but I can't think of too many other reasons they would insist on converting crypto holdings to fiat before transfer, otherwise.

There is sadly so much negative talk about Bitstamp now with new customer waiting for month to get approved. Now they start to throw out existing customers. I don't understand that way of doing business. They just add more negative talk to the current growing pool.

Maybe you are right Jacob or maybe they are about to shutdown. They have more than enough money to live for 10 lifetimes.

And Bitcoin that is getting longer and longer to transfer... Took me about an hour yesterday (for 1BTC to be transfered). We need a better exchange, and a better coin... go ADA!
