It will kill the interest of the lay persons. And then, the establisment controling the mass media will use this situation to "show to the world" how bad is the crypto world... Unless some kind of regulation is going to happen, I am sure it will hurt the market. It should be some kind of auto-regulation as we see on eBay... well, the comparison is bad, but I mean some kind of community rating... I don't know.

How about decentralized regulation by voting?
Cardano is the most promising 3 gen. crypto right now.
