Decentralized Exchanges
#61

I talked to a crypto buff (a client) and he really made me see how centralized exchanges are not that good for the future of crypto. Well, I can't explain that well as he did, but he convinced me for good...

We have talked about centralized exchanges in here. There are many problems. They have internal wallets and can run away with all your coins anytime they like. You therefore have to trust them. Not so with a decentralized exchange that is run by rules and math. The centralized exchanges is also manipulating the market, they are charging up to $3 million for a coin to get listed. They money made by running a centralized exchange for the owners is astronomical which is why new pop up each day.

Binance Releases Demo Video of Planned DEX

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by adjusted trading volume, has released a new video demo of its decentralized exchange, dubbed Binance DEX, ahead of its launch in early 2019.

Binance DEX will have a very similar interface to its existing centralized exchange, with some additional features. For example, it includes an option to generate a 24-word mnemonic seed phrase for users’ private keys, a “balances tab” to inform users of the status of their accounts and a “user icon” in the navigation bar that shows individual wallet addresses.

Binance DEX is built on its own Binance Chain, Binance's very own Blockchain that is aimed to offer “low latency, high throughput trading, as well as decentralized custody of funds.”

Let's hope others will follow.
Let all of us keep an eye to see when they start.
