Rain here today, though it was nice when I got up. Pool was an hour or so ago for me - though I would confess it was not a swimming one but a snooker table sort of pool!

We used to live on the east coast, which is a lot drier.

Now on the west coast it rains most days at some point, and all days on occasions. Luckily Scots are born with webbed feet.

It's too much with all that rain. It's bad enough in Denmark I think.

Average rainfall in Scotland
Rainfall is another key element of Scottish weather although it is not as bad as people sometimes tell you. Some areas receive about 3,000 mm per year (the western Highlands) and other areas only 800 mm per year (the east coast). Measurable rainfall occurs on over 250 days in the Highlands to 175 days per year in other parts.

Denmark

Precipitation in Denmark is not abundant, but it's frequent and well distributed throughout the year, because Atlantic depressions occur in all seasons. In Copenhagen, 525 mm (20.5 in) of rain (or snow) per year fall.
Here is the average precipitation in Copenhagen.

I has just been out with the Spinshot machine again today. It was MUCH better than the first time. The wifi was also working fine after I had adjusted the connection the the antenna. The program I made was perfect for the drill I wanted to practice. 3 shot forehand, 3 shot backhand... repeat. The machine was put just left of the center of the court at the backline and that position made it throw the balls almost perfectly to the forehand and backhand. It was also quite precise. There was not much wind. After 30-40 min I moved the machine half a meter into the court since it loses some of the power when the battery is drained. You could also just run another program that adjust the speed, spin and height of the ball to compensate for the slightly missing power.

Still a great machine. During the weekend and today I have been practicing backhand a lot. The machine is a great help.

In Scotland, when younger we just found a wall to practice with - for football, tennis, once even golf -though the ball coming back at us soon made that game stop!

Bjørn Borg was playing against a wall when he was a child.
