Yes, it applies to almost everything now.

I read an article in a Danish paper today about a woman who believed that the virus was created by the 1 % in power to control the world and has as a goal a single currency along with absolute power and control of us all (or something like that :-) )

Personally I don't believe that since it's not that difficult to sequence the genome (small for the virus) and see if any sequence looks manipulated.
