My bank was very good when someone used my details to fly around Germany and buy things like a TV - they alerted me and refunded all the missing money very quickly. However banks make money far too easily and did not pay a price like everyone else for the big crash either. They need to get better and quickly if they want to survive in the digital age.

No, banks don't need to get better.
They need to stop existing.

Regarding Juniors transfer then it arrived today. It seems I forgot to tell him to transfer Euro instead of USD. This morning I transferred around 1000 Euros to the same bank and they arrived at around 14.00 or so. I bought xrp, cardano, ltc and a bit btc.

It's Bit4you that is an exchange located in Belgium. If you sign up then use this link https://www.bit4you.io?ref=9F6CCBC5A8

Sadly i do not think banks will ever go extinct. I do believe crypto will be mainstream and the thing we use to exchange value, but i still think that crypto banks maybe even very large exchanges may start acting like crypto banks. But in this scenario people will have the choice to keep their crypto in their own wallets. So still better then what we have now with fiat where you do not have a choice than to keep your savings in a centralized bank.

Frankly I don't see what role a bank could have in crypto space. If everything is managed by blockchain, banks have no reason of existance.
What could be possible is that the companies (today still called banks) will transform and completely change their core business.
Just like the big oil companies. They all realize one day fossil fuel will be completely consumed. Lot's of these companies are converting bit by bit to solar and wind. The companies will be the same by name but not by business.
