A universal wallet address: Unstoppable Domains
#11
Metamask is just a way to handle your Ethereum. There are many other options. You can store them on your ledger wallet or your Safepal wallet or maybe Metamask. If you search for the best Ethereum walllet ledger comes out as one of the best. Maybe the best.

In the case of "Unstoppable Domains" they require you and the one who want's to transfer money to you to install an extension. Next you have to TRUST them to forward the coins to your actual address. It's not decentralized at all. Think about it. You paid like 200 EURO or something like that for your unique domain. How often do you want to use it? I'm sorry to say that this project is an exit project that won't live in 3 years time.

No. I didn't pay $200. I paid $40.

If the domains are on the blockchain it is decentralized.

No this can be done through any partner wallet and a browser extension is not needed.

Yes the full list is here. We also have a $1M grant program that focuses in part on new wallet integrations. We want to work with as many wallets as possible.
It is also possible to vote for which wallets you want to see us work with next here.

Ah okay. I saw the video. Now I get it.

Still you need a browser extension (or some other special software) that can do the mapping from a domain name to a normal wallet address.

What is also interesting here is the possibility to build websites that are decentralized an uncensored.

If the other party uses a partner wallet to pay you he doesn't need an extention.
Yes it is cool to build uncensored websites.

I do not understand what a decentralized storage network is in real life!

The blockchain is excatly that. The blockchain is present on every node in the network and everybody has a copy. It's therefore NOT centralized.

Bob, try to see like this:
Instead of storing your files on your pc, it is stored on the blockchain. Meaning it is stored on everybodies computer.
Therefor it can't be counterfeited and it can't be accessed by others because you have the key.

Another way could be that fragments of your file(s) are stored on seperate computers all over the world. So if you want to access your file you need the key and the system (wich also is managed by blockchain) will look and find all the pieces to make the puzzle as one file. See noia.network

This explanation is a bit symplistic, but it gives a clearer view.
