I do not fully understand what this means but in general the pushing of blockchain must be good, even if it is by the Chinese government!

I think they want to be in control so it's not going to be anonymous I guess.

Bitcoin is not anonymous either. The Danish police just arrested some guys who bought drugs on the dark web with bitcoins they have bought on an exchange for fiat. So criminals need to be aware that the moment you do exchange between fiat and crypto you can be traced unless you do it smart.

That is a bit scary that the police went to the trouble of doing that. However law breaking is wrong (usually). It just means people will need an extra level of care to make sure they are not caught.

It certainly is, but that just shows us that browsing the internet is not private. You have to take extra care to protect your privacy if you want to exchange money without the police or tax authorities know about it.

In China I bet they are in control with every move you make.

And someone told me Russia was going the same way too. I would hope that developments would happen to make it harder for govts to do these things.

There is development of MimbleWimble on Litecoin (https://cryptobriefing.com/beam-grin-nim...blewimble/) for making anonymous transactions and atomic swap. I think a lot of Bitcoin will go into the highly stable, cheap and very fast Litecoin blockchain very soon.

"Litecoin developers can be counted among the world’s foremost privacy pioneers with its current work on MimbleWimble technology. The innovation could introduce true fungibility to Litecoin, and if successful, could eventually be added to the Bitcoin protocol."
