It's a good idea, but when it comes to our power in our houses the government has to have some degree of control. The farm(s) should be part of the public grid and therefore obey certain specifications and rules.

I think it's a good idea, but as investment on IGG it's a high risk backing. It could be scam for all I know (but don't think it is).

Farms abroad can't be part of the public grid. Since the farm(s) are located outside Denmark, government has nothing to say about it.
It seems you are a bit too pesimistic lately. Not everything on Indiegogo is a scam.

At least the idea is great.
This is a way everybody can help to make the planet a cleaner place.

I think you misunderstood me. It should be part of the grid in he area the farm is located of course.

I also said it is a good idea with solar farms, but as investment on IGG I see it as the wrong platform for such an important technology. IGG is mainly for products you buy and get (90% of the time).

Google "solar farm investment" and you will find the right platforms to invest in such a tech.

Sorry if I'm negative. I was meant to be critical about the specific project on IGG ONLY. I'm definitely for solar and wind energy in general. Even nuclear plants is much greener and kill much less people than coal and oil. Denmark made the wrong call about nuclear power back in the 70'ies.

We have these guys in Denmark for solar farms https://nordicsolar.eu/en/. I would clearly prefer to invest with them than the IGG project.

No matter what company is behind such project. The IGG project is just an example I noticed by accident. I menionned it because I like the Idea. I can only be happy there exist more of these projects. Let me do some research to look after some more of that kind of projects.

Just had a quick look on the website. Looks very good. They have solar parks allover Europe. Even in Belgium.

Great Hugues. Then we agree. My criticism was only for the specific IGG project, not solar farms in general.

Nordicsolar minimum investment is €100.000
That's a lot of money for private investors.

Another input on solar power from Bjørn Lomborg:

"Many western donors love the idea that instead of dirty, coal-fired power-plants, poor nations should ‘leapfrog’ straight to cleaner energy sources such as off-grid solar technology. But many cases around the developing world show that solar panels are mostly useless for tackling the main power challenges of the world’s poor.

Three billion people continue to suffer from the dangerous effects of indoor air pollution, burning dirty fuels like wood and dung to cook and keep warm. Solar panels don’t solve that problem because they are too weak to power clean stoves and heaters. Nor can off-grid solar panels power machinery for agriculture or factories that create jobs and pathways out of poverty.

I write for Forbes and the two Australian newspapers Daily Telegraph and Herald Sun (print) that telling the world’s poor to live with unreliable, expensive, weak power is an insult."
