Belgian exchange
#11
I have transferred SEPA (bank to bank) money today and they arrived today. Much faster than Bitstamp and Cex.io (both scam exchanges). Canceling orders has to be done in the Portefolio section. It's different from other exchanges. Nice feature is it instantly sums up the winnings or loosing. When you bid they "forget" to update the page and deduct the amount from you total...lol..Do a page refresh and it's updated. Still lot to be learned. Also the candlestick charts start out with 1D as default. It should be 1H. Don't know if I can change that....

Until know an okay experience...

A very strange restriction on bit4you is that you can ONLY send coins out of bit4you from wallets of type:

Eth, BTC, BCC, LTC, Dan.

You can only receive coins as Btc or Dan.

What the f...??

Cardano and ripple has to be converted to one of the above to get it out!! A very stupid restriction.

On the strong side is fiat to crypto and vice versa.

Could have potential but the govt backing would worry me, not in terms of scam but more so in terms of them knowing something about you!

I did some research about this. It is the press saying it is backed by the govt.
I read an interview with the founder of the exchange.
He never told it was backed by the govt. He went to ask permission at the FSMA. The FSMA is the Belgian watchdog for banking and economics.
The FSMA told him it was not their competence but that it was completely legal to start such exchange. This does not mean it is backed by govt.
So... it is the press that made this (fake) news.

Anyway backed or not, govt knows what we are doing.

This is the response from support regarding my question of why the functionality is limited as it is:

"Dear Carsten,

For regulatory reasons, incoming and outgoing transactions have to be screened.

We do those operations manually a few times a day.

For the moment you can go in/out BTC,

BCH, LTC, ETH.

Have a nice weekend

Best regards

Marc "

Not entirely true since you can only move BTC out.

Why it is not possible to withdraw/deposit Cardano and xrp etc..
