Bitstamp is making their own reviews on trustpilot (edited) - Carsten - 2018-05-09

If you go to trustpilot and search for reviews it's now a mixed picture. Either a full 5 or a 1, where 5 being the best.
I looked through some of the reviews and found Tomaz Rozman reviewing Bitstamp to be excellent!!

That is manipulation of the worst kind.

Anyway my Bitstamp account was terminated without a reason but it happend shortly after I told them their new KYC was way too much.

I got my funds back as fiat but is missing around 6500 Euro. There has been no explanation about how they ended up with the amount they gave me. I luckily have a screenshot from the day of termination I have sent them today and asked for the rest of the money. I also asked for details about how the sum was at it was. After the termination day the crypto market got even higher so I want an explanation.

Deleted because everything is good. I read the amount in USD instead of EUR.  Sad Sad Sad Sad

I told them if they do not return the last money I will file a case with the police for fraud.

I just want to warn you against Bitstamp that otherwise has been an excellent exchange, but the last year the support has been slow and now often silent or non existing. Just do a DuckDuckGo on the net.

Be careful out there with exchanges.

That is very naughty! I wonder if he got a bonus for reviewing himself!

They have a lot of money of yours and that is a significant sum so I hope you get it back soon with interest too. Going to court is always a hassle (at least I assume it is) plus costly. Good luck with the battle.

It is Bob and it's so stupid of them.

The reason for me to post about Bitstamp is to warn others. If I had read my own post a month ago I would not have believed in it since I had only good experience with Bitstamp. So when people starts warning about an exchange we should all listen and at least try to warn about it so we have a chance to get out.

I told Bistamp that I wanted the rest of my money back. This morning I got this stupid answer:

"Support agent commented:
Dear Carsten,

thank you for contacting us.

Should you require your Bitstamp account's transaction history along with the account balance you have held prior to the termination of your Bitstamp account, please let us know in a reply to this email.

If you wish the file to be encrypted, please provide us with your public PGP key.

Alternatively, we can provide you with your account's transaction history unencrypted.

Looking forward to your reply."

I answered:

"This is not an answer. I demand to receive at least 6500 Euro or I file a case with the police"

It was me who posted a few months ago about bitstamp; If you want to withdraw your coins it is impossible to withdraw all because they apply a stupid rule.
I don't remember how much decimals, but the last few decimals of you withdrawals are impossible to withdraw.
My experienced example is this one:
I had some XRP I wanted to withdraw to my wallet. When I tried to withdraw all I got the message that the number of decimals could not exceed 6 decimals. Result is that at this moment there are 0.00000023 XRP in my account that I will never be able to withdraw. It is not much, but the principle is not OK.
If they do the same with millions of other transactions, that makes a lot of money.

Fine point Hugues. I know there is a fee for selling the coins but that doesn't come anywhere near the amount they have hold back. The fee for trading is max. 0.25%. https://www.bitstamp.net/fee_schedule/. In my case the fee is less than 300 Euro.

Corrected the original post... I made a stupid mistake. Bitstamp has transferred it all. Sorry Bitstamp, but you are still making your own reviews.
