Everything he writes sounds like a legit business and I accepted it out of trust. The moment that I read BS's machinations, the Yow Cow trail of info (and anything else online regarding him or his puppets) I took a second look at everything I received from him and what he wrote. He outlined a lot of his plan early on (handing over the project ie. passing on the buck to the investors). It was difficult for me to change perspectives (it's difficult to feel the shame of fraud, in addition to, the frustration of 'not being smart enough'. I can't speak for the other members, but I know how it was for me.
Good point. I have not told Mrs BobBobert yet that it is all a fraud, though she has never really believed in things like this. It is sad when you first get suspicions, then things fall into place and then others come to the same conclusion. That BS document really was an eye opener for many people. But it is not nice to be defrauded and scammed.

Yeah, mashedkey, you are right. It is human. Admitting that we felt for a scam is not easy. I started to have real doubts when he stopped answering to my PM, and use my ideas like it was his. Like the RT, who he used at his own advantage, where I suggested to have a group of people to take control of the project. I then stopped to buy anything at that time. He never answered any of my question from there and it was the beginning of the end for the project because others started to ask as well. But now, we need to spread the news and make him pay for his sins. He must go to jail, if you ask me.

Exactly Hughes! He is trying to make some money before he starts his next scam. He has probably already started his new one anyway. At 250M (and more), he can make some thousands considering that there are billions of internet users to scam in the world.

He really deserves jail.....report him to the Thai police in Pattaya...as many as possible.

I think what bugs me most is that with $200k raised on a kickstarter/indiegogo, I would have been willing to commit probably several years of my time into a initially non-profit project and worked for cheap for it.
I have seen some great kickstarter and indiegogo campaigns where open source developers have sold their work force for relatively cheap just to advance a project for the greater good.

I should have got suspicious when I asked about the slow progress on github and he was just evading the question.

It is easy to see these things in hindsight - we are all much wiser after the event!

Yes...we can't change the past, but we can prevent others to buy his Rimbit (if his site works) by warning them and push him further into a corner.
